American Speed Skater Jordan Stolz wins second gold medal
Samuel Perkins Lead Reporter Jordan Stolz captured his second gold medal of the 2026 Winter Olympics today, winning the men's 500-meter race with a new Olympic record time of 33.77 seconds. He shattered the previous Olympic record of 34.32 by more than half a second. He became one of two in Olympic history to finish the 500m in under 34 seconds. This honor is also head by silver medalist Jenning de Boo at a time of 33.88. Stolz defeated his rival Jenning de Boo in this event.

New video game "Hytale" releases, selling two million copies on release day
Samuel Perkins Lead Reporter Today, Hytale, a sandbox multiplayer game, released to early access on PC, Max, and Linux. The game can only be downloaded via Hytale's official launcher, not Steam, Epic Games, or any other online game store. The game was originally developed by Riot Games, who acquired the studio behind Hytale in 2020. After years of delays, and an ambitious engine re-write intended for cross-platform play, Riot officially canceled the game in June of last year
