DOJ releases millions of documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein

Today, on January 30th, 2026, The Department of Justice (DOJ) released around 3 million documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein. This fulfills the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which mandated that the DOJ release all files before late December; a deadline which initially was missed

A large portion of the files were media such as pictures and videos, seized from Epstein's properties in New York and the U.S. Virgin Islands. There are around 2,000 total videos, and over 180 thousand total pictures. 

The media depicts many prominent figures including former President Bill Clinton, actor Kevin Spacey, billionaire Sir Richard Branson, and Peter Mandelson. The files also include a July 2020 booking intake from Ghislaine Maxwell, and photos from various trips she took with Epstein.

The Deputy Attorney General has confirmed that the DOJ has met its legal obligations and no other future files will be released. This does not include the many files that remain safe under laws for victim privacy, and CSAM laws.

President Donald Trump has been mentioned over hundreds of times in the new release of files, in files including subpoenas, claims from Trump and many other files that mention him. This includes claims that a 13-14 year girl was forced to preform oral sex on Donald Trump, 35 years ago. New info about Price Andrew has also been released stating that he had "engaged in sexual conduct” with one of Epstein's victims.

Elon Musk is also mentioned many times in the files, despite his previous claims of never interacting with Epstein. The files show an email between Musk and Epstein asking when the best time for Musk to come visit the island. This took place in 2013 after Epstein was already a convicted pedophile.

Bill Gates, is also mentioned in the files, stating that he begged Epstein for antibiotics after Bill contracted STD's from having sex with "Russian girls". The email also reveals that Bill sent a description of his penis to Epstein.

The Mundus Times, and other reporters are still currently looking through the massive 3 million file release. It will take time for all the files to be searched through, and all information to be released. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
