On Saturday, an "intentional explosion" occurred at Harvard University's medical center. It is currently under investigation by the FBI, the Harvard University Police Department, and other police partners.
An officer arrived at the scene a little before 3 AM ET. The Harvard University Police Department reported seeing two people flee the building immediately after a fire alarm sounded.
Later, surveillance cameras captured two masked men in the building: one wearing a gray ski mask and the other a long mask and a black hoodie. According to police, the responding officer attempted to stop the individuals before going upstairs to investigate.
According to police, the explosion occurred on the building's fourth floor. Many signs showed there had most definitely been an explosion. An arson team noted the explosion "appeared to be intentional." After a sweep of the building, no additional devices were found.
Police also noted no structural damage was done to the building, and nobody was injured. The building is back operational and is now in use, according to a message sent to the Harvard Medical School community on Sunday afternoon.
Police have asked the campus community for help in identifying the people in the photos.
